The "Reuters - Top News" feed works for me. Sometimes publishers have invalid content in their article data and a problem like this just goes away when the problem article is not in the feed anymore. Do you still experience this issue?

If so, then maybe this is caused by another feed in the same topic/folder? You can try removing them one by one until the problem goes away. Or would you let me know the feeds/ feed URLs? You can reach me at support@goodnews.click - Thanks

    Jonathan. Wrong tone.

This service is free. And we are not Google. We don't have any funding, so I'm currently working on this in my spare time, mainly fixing bugs and scaling the infrastructure. I can give you my bank account details, you transfer me ten grand, and then I can build features just for you. Until then, if you don't like Good Noows I recommend you don't use it. I also recommend not to spend an hour configuring feeds just for the purpose of exporting them later. Why would anyone do that.

To the others in this thread: I still agree that an OPML export feature is high priority and I'm still committed to developing it. As stated before, I just can't give a good estimate for this.

Hi Isabel, and all the other voters here,

We know we need to develop an export feature. We will. Until then, please rest assured that we won't just disappear with your data. We have no plans of closing but if we ever do so we'd allow you to export your data first.

    Cheers,
    Daniel

Nothing shippable yet, sorry. We're working on stuff that will give us this feature as a byproduct. I think we'll be finished soon.

Hi, this is not yet possible but it's a planned feature. It's not overly high prioritized but it's simple and I'll do it soon. Most Good Noows users are somewhat non-technical and they don't even know what RSS and OPML are. The app targets this audience but also wants to be attractive to tech people (e.g. users of other news readers). So it's always a challenge to integrate such things into the UI without getting the non-tech readers all too scared. But I'll do it somehow :)

Ok. This is definitely on our roadmap now because it's a useful but not very difficult feature. No estimate as to when we'll be able to ship this though.

After the reload, if there are more old articles, and you click the "Mark all as read" button again until there are none left, then they don't come back, right?

    Thanks.

Great idea. A bit tricky because in Good Noows the articles have different scroll heights depending on the applied visual style. But we’ll look into it. In the short term we are working on an “Mark all as read” button, which you could use after having scrolled through the stream of articles.

We just released Good Noows 3.4 - with a 'Mark all as read' button. It marks all articles read that are currently loaded in your stream. For now, you can find the button in the tolbar at the top (the X icon, same as the 'Mark article as read' icon) but I think I'll find a nicer spot soon.

All articles will be grayed out or hidden, depending on your preferences in the Settings menu.

I know this is not 'mark as read when scrolling' but I thought I'd let you know anyway.

Thanks for saying this Jeff. I totally agree. When we ship this it's going to be optional. We are not trying to mimic ordinary RSS readers here. Personally I hate unread counts. I lived without them when I read my printed newspapers and hey, I can't possibly read these 587 unread items anyway... It's unnecessary pressure for me. Still, it's obviously very important for traditional feed reader users. So we are going to address it...
