In google reader when you scroll away from an article, it is marked as read. I like this setting because I prefer to skim many (hundreds) of feeds and headlines and let the less interesting ones go by.53 votes
Great idea. A bit tricky because in Good Noows the articles have different scroll heights depending on the applied visual style. But we’ll look into it. In the short term we are working on an “Mark all as read” button, which you could use after having scrolled through the stream of articles.

Reuters Top News feed not working for 3 days now. All other feeds seem to work.1 vote
Good News is currently broken in iOS 9 - it looks like it's zoomed at 500% (you can only see a few characters).
Please fix. Thank you!4 votes
I am unable to see any content, just shows "Loading" at top of page when I log into my account. I just signed up for an account. I tried logging in via my gmail account...that worked once. The next time I logged in it didn't work. Also tried logging in with facebook. So all the ways I tried it just see loading at the top of the page. The panels show up at top of page and left of page, but no content will load. I've tried it with all of my plugins shut off in chrome, and I've tried it in safari too. I'm on a mac if that matters.

Hi Erik, thanks for letting us know!
Everything works fine for us. Sometimes feeds with invalid code or unescaped special characters in the content can temporarily mess up the stream. This is the only thing I can think of.
- Since you say “Loading” I assume you are using Good Noows in English?
- Did you activate/deactivate or add any sources/feeds after you signed up?
- Any chance you could open the Newsstand dialog and let me know which sources/feeds you have activated there?
- Or let me know the email address you logged in with? (you can also reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org)
Apologies for this. I have no idea what this could be. Would be awesome if you could help us out. Thank you.
Please remove the hover effects or allow me to turn them off.
I find them very distracting, especially on the iPad.0 votes
They shouldn’t be there on mobile. This is a bug. We are looking into it.
Update: Chris, sorry but I can’t reproduce this. What do you mean by hover effects? At first I thought you are referring to the tooltips but I just successfully confirmed that they don’t appear on my iPad. Just on non-touch devices.
Here is a scriptlet that fixes scrolling on the iPad, feel free to use:
Hi Chris, awesome, thanks for the initiative.
I’m happy to use it but can you first describe the issue that this is supposed to fix? :) Scrolling works fine on my iPad and I don’t have any other error reports on this topic. Ideally, please state iPad model, iOS version, and browser. Thanks!
I've tried signing up twice with two different emails. In neither case have I received the signup conformation.1 vote
I can’t reproduce this. I just registeres multiple new accounts and got confirmation emails less than a second after clicking “Sign up” Let’s investigate this.
You are sure that the emails did not end up in a spam/junk mail folder of your email client?
Are you using Gmail?
I use twitter and only twitter to log into my account. it's been happening for about a week. i've used different browsers, but still no dice.3 votes
Add the support of the Taskbar of Win7 with IE9 with the nulber of unread articles.27 votes
If I understand you correctly the IE9 pinning works fine but you would like to add the unread count to it? Thanks.
Using the Front Page layout, the preview boxes do not resize to account for the increased font size when using the font +/- buttons next to the filter source button. Thus, the text is always truncated at the bottom of the preview boxes. Using Control+Mousewheel is a workaround but then the pop-up window and everything is huge in the browser. So I'm constantly adjusting font sizes. Help! Running XP+Chrome. Thanks in advance!5 votes
If you follow a lot of news sources that have some overlap in the topics covered, it would be nice to get similar news items grouped together.23 votes
Definitely a good idea.
Any more supporters?
One feature I enjoy about Google Reader is the ability to search past feed items from a long time ago, such that they might not still be in the actual rss feed. This makes it easy to share an article with a friend if it comes up in conversation a month later, or if I remember seeing a past article but can't remember where I saw it.10 votes
Great idea. We are planning to integrate Google’s AJAX Feed API and I am sure this will enable such search. Will take a while though. Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion. More supporters for this?
connect to your twitter so you can see all of your personal twitter updates on the side bar17 votes
Putting the Twitter stream into a side column. Interesting idea. More supporters?
Interesting. More supporters?
(Of course you could distribute your sources into different topics to have completely separate streams but I know this is not what you are asking)
There is a lot of news to go through. Can you add a 2 column block visual view?11 votes
I am always working on new visual styles. Will definitely consider a 2 column view for future releases.
I want to be able to click on an "+" on the right and expand article on the same page. Not have a pop up on the same page or open a new page.
Its like the "group" functionality in Excel.. (...and don't kill this idea because of reference of a Microsoft product!)15 votes
I would like to be able to replace my OPML collection without having to delete each category.
Or said otherwise: I would like to be able to remove all categories by one simple click.2 votes
I would like to start the app on 1 page with the latest news from multiple categories (maybe 6 or 9 blocks and the ability to scroll down).2 votes
- Don't see your idea?
